Data Centres We
operate our Windows Servers out of 2 datacentres in
London
Stratford Data Centre
Webspeed's servers are located in a
state-of-the-art raised floored datacentre
in Stratford, London. The facility offers
complete redundancy in protected power,
HVAC, fire suppression, network connectivity
and on-site manned security. The facility
takes power feeds from multiple power grids,
distributed via MGE UPS battery backup power
and three 2.5 MVA Caterpillar diesel
generators to backup primary power source
with 48-hour on-site fuel storage supported
by continuous refuelling contracts. Our
Libert HVAC systems are configured to
provide cooling redundancy in a temperature
controlled environment. Fire suppression
includes a dry pipe pre-action system with
VESDA (Very Early Smoke Detection
Apparatus).

Infrastructure
Our network utilises Juniper M Series
routers at the border, Cisco Catalyst
6500 series and Foundry BigIron 10G
switches in our core switching layer and
Cisco 3550/3750 series switches in our
distribution layer. At the customer
layer we utilize Cisco 3500 and 2950
series switches.

RedBus
London Data Centre
A
18,400 square foot IDC (Internet Data
Center) facility in London – the hub of
telecommunications and Internet connectivity
for the United Kingdom. Housed in the
prestigious Redbus London Interhouse
"Meridian Gate", this multi-million pound
facility is seismically designed to include
the latest gas-based fire protection
systems, specialised heat and smoke sensors,
raised flooring, scalable power for future
expansion, 24x7 technical support 365 days a
year and unmatched levels of security.
The spacious facility features
state-of-the-art fiber optics and a
redundant self contained cooling system.
With 2.5 MVA of UPS conditioned power, and 2
x 1800 kva Generators, the facility can be
separated from city water and power services
and still remain fully operational for up to
28 days - the backup generators alone could
power a city of 20,000 people.
Physical Security
All Redbus Interhouse datacentres feature
totally comprehensive 24x7 security to keep
our equipment 100% safe. This means our
customers have the protection of security
barriers, 24x7x365 monitoring by on-site
personnel to include visual verification of
all persons entering the building, CCTV
video camera surveillance and a security
breach alarm provides the control room with
information.
Access
Access to the buildings, data floors and
individual area’s are via individually
programmed Proximity Access Cards (PAC),
usage of the PAC is logged centrally by time
and date. The cards cannot be used by anyone
else, whenever you swipe your card tag over
the sensors to gain access to the building,
your digital photograph will be displayed on
our security systems which are continuously
monitored by our on-site technicians. The
technicians will then verify the information
and only when satisfied, allow access.
Power
All Redbus Interhouse facilities are built
to at least an N+1 standard; put simply,
this means that if two generators are
required to provide non-stop power, then
there’ll be three installed. So rather than
guaranteeing 99.99% power availability, the
guarantee is 100%.
Fire
Detection/Suppression
Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus (VESDA)
is installed in every facility. These highly
sensitive aspirating smoke detectors are
linked to the Building Management system
which is monitored continually from a
network operations centre, provide very
early detection to help avoid fire, loss and
business disruption. This is coupled with a
gas based fire retardant that is
environmentally friendly, to put out fires
instantly, without damaging equipment.
Air Conditioning
To ensure optimum performance, all data
floors are maintained at a constant 21°C ±
2°C and relative humidity is kept at 50% ±
10%. Both are continually monitored via the
BMS.
Building Management
System (BMS)
All Redbus Interhouse facilities operate
computerised building management systems
that monitor and remotely operate sensors
covering electrical, mechanical, fire
detection and leak detection systems.
